Last minute hiccup gives Friends
Match Report
On Friday evening RSD travelled to Friends School Lisburn for the 1st XV and 2nd XV matches.
The 1st XV started the game off well with some good movement allowing David Maxwell to break the line to open the scoring, Luke McMullan converting. RSD then doubled their lead after a sniping pick and go from Jono Shrestha, leaving Calvin Nelson to finish. Close to the break excellent movement from Jono Shrestha and Josh Fegan led to Jonny Mccammond scoring the third RSD try, with Luke Mcmullan converting 3/3. FSL then got one back leaving the score 21-5 at half time.
RSD came out in the second half allowing FSL to break through early on bringing the score up to 21-12. With 10 minutes to go friends got a penalty and secured a further 3 points. FSL managed to break down the line in the last few seconds after RSD failed to clear the ball from danger, allowing them to win the match 22-21.
