Captains Message

10 November 2016

Welcome to Stevenson Park for what we hope will be a successful rugby season.

As an original Dungannon man, it is with great pride and pleasure that I accept the role of club captain for the forthcoming season.

Congratulations Arthur in your new role as president and thank you Harold for all your hard work last year. As always, I am sure all visitors near and far will receive the warm Dungannon welcome.

This season sees more new faces across all teams within the club and I am confident this will deliver much desired success. As is the Dungannon way, I’ve no doubt all new members will be welcomed both on and off the pitch. Thank you to all staff across the club for your time and effort which is much appreciated. Thanks to Andy Hughes, Peter Nelson, Brian McConnell, Timmy Smith, Jonny Patton and team manager Brian Magowan for your continued hard work, professionalism and commitment to teams.

A huge welcome to Pete, whose involvement is greatly valued. Everyone has worked hard during pre season and I am hopeful for victory as reward, as we continue to build strength and depth throughout the club, I wish all the ladies and gents who proudly wear the Dungannon jersey a safe and successful season.

I would like to extend thanks to our sponsors and advertisers for their continued generous support, which adds to the enhancement and development of the club.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to our steadfast supporters. Your commitment is never underestimated and something to be admired. We hope to reward you with an exciting and successful season of rugby.

Enjoy the game!
